I am very happy to learn that the Office of the Chief Commissioner’s, Customs & Central Excise, Shillong Zone, Shillong which is covering entire North Eastern Region and having jurisdiction of over 3 (three) Central Excise Commissionerate, 1 (one) Customs(Prev.) Commissionerate and Commissioner(Appeals) is launching its own official website today the 10^th December, 2009.  On this important occasion, I wish to extend my warm greetings to the officers and staff of Shillong Zone and all the esteemed users of the website.
 

I sincerely hope that this official website will serve as a repository of all relevant and upto-date information regarding Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax matters for the members of the trade and industry in this Zone and the information on Administrative matters for the benefit of the departmental officers and staff. 
 

I also congratulate the officers & staff of this office and National Informatics Centre (NIC), Shillong for putting their excellent efforts on this website.
